Discipline/Punishment/Correction
Professor, what do the words Discipline, Punishment and Correction mean? Are they the same? Different?
Yes, Naughty One, they have similarities. They all involve behavior improvement, and they all can result in spanking.
Now here is my take on the distinction:
Discipline is a positive personal trait. Correction is a positive form of behavior modification. Punishment is a negative form of Correction.
For instance, I have Corrected you by Punishing you (by a punishment spanking) to help you learn Discipline.
I could have also Corrected your tendency to lacking Discipline by offering you rewards (e.g. Carrot spankings) when you have shown "good girl" Discipline. So, Punishment is not necessarily part of Correction nor of Discipline.
Correction via Punishment can be for things other than lack of Discipline, like lying if you didn't know better. The "if you didn't know better" is important.
If you did know better, then it was lack of Discipline that caused you to lie, if you didn't know know, then it wasn't lack of Discipline, but you still needed to be Corrected. In your case, you almost always know better, so almost all of your Corrections are for lack of Discipline, but it is not necessarily the case in general. So Correction does not equal Discipline.
